This year's Christmas looks like ...
Four stockings hung by the chimney with care
Grateful that Jesus has already appeared.
Grateful for His peace.
Grateful for His love.
Grateful for His Gifts. Both here ...
And above.
Grateful for memories. Old and new.
Grateful for Christmas.
Merry Christmas to you!
P.S. Yes. The cows have moved again.
Lesson Learned: I love that Christmas decorations can so clearly remind us of many reasons to be grateful!
What a wonderful post and your house looks so inviting, Katherine! We decorated our home last weekend and while I'm always resistant to the thought of doing it, I end up treasuring the process. I open all the little boxes containing cherished decorations; some old, some new. Some came from people I love and some I keep just to make my mother happy (shhhh, don't tell her!).
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Ree! I'll tell you what, I let my inner-minimalist have at some of those decorations this year. I got rid of a whole bin, but it was mostly junky, dollar store stuff. I do allow almost anything (old, new, ugly, whatever) on the tree. For some reason, the mess always makes me smile! :)
DeleteSweet...love the stockings and the black and white family photos made me smile. I have similar photos on my living room wall. Hope your Christmas is wonderful. Karen
